Springer Donates $1 Million Worth of Products to New Orleans Universities

As New Orleans continues to rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Springer Science+Business Media has announced a donation of eBooks to seven of the city's universities. Springer announced the donation, valued at more than $1 million, at the American Library Association conference in New Orleans.

The institutions of higher learning that will benefit from Springer's eBooks donation include Tulane University, Xavier University of Louisiana, Loyola University, University of New Orleans, Dillard University, Southern University at New Orleans, and the LSU Health Sciences Center - New Orleans. As a result of Springer's donation, the students and professors at these schools will have complete access to more than 10,000 of Springer's scientific, technical, and medicine books in both fully searchable PDF and HTML.
