World's Most Sophisticated Filament Winding Software for Composites

The new version of CADWIND, the world's most sophisticated filament winding software, is now available. With this update Belgian company MATERIAL sets new trends in composite filament technology yet again.

CADWIND 2007 is the result of over 22 years of ongoing research and development. During all these years CADWIND has been proven in thousands of winding projects, from simple piping systems to large scale space transportation rockets.

CADWIND 2007 has many new features and improvements. Here are the main innovations:

• New graphics engine
  CADWIND 2007 has a completely new designed graphics package. It has been developed from scratch and has all the features of modern, state of the art CAD software.
• The machine simulator
  CADWIND 2007 users can see an animated simulation of the winding machine producing the part. It gives the user a much better impression of what to expect when the winding program is used on the machine. The real time simulation allows the user to see the machine movements and dynamics including velocities and accelerations. The user can check if the pay-out eye is colliding with the mandrel, the winding program runs smoothly and if the chosen parameters are optimal for the application. The machine simulator will save numerous test runs on a real machine.
• New package and price structure
  CADWIND 2007 has a new simplified package and price structure. There are four basic packages. Since all former modules are now integrated into these packages, the new structure gives the user much more software for the same price. The basic packages can be extended with the DESIGN PACK option which even includes a complete copy of COMPOSITE STAR software.
• Rent or lease CADWIND 2007
  Customers can now rent or lease CADWIND 2007. This keeps the investment low. However the user can enjoy the full power of CADWIND 2007.
• Tutorial videos
  With CADWIND 2007, MATERIAL introduces downloadable tutorial videos. These videos allow the user to learn very easily how to work with CADWIND 2007 and to stay up to date with the latest developments of MATERIAL's winding engineers.
• New website
  There is also a completely new MATERIAL website. CADWIND 2007 users can now log on to the new user area and directly download updates and other files.
• Windows VISTA compatible
  CADWIND 2007 runs on any computer with Windows 98SE, ME, NT, 2000, XP and of course the new Windows VISTA.
