Akzo Nobel to Take Control of Korean Powder Coatings JV

Akzo Nobel will take complete control of their Korean powder coating joint venture, when they acquire DPI Co’s share of the business. The deal is expected to close on October 6th.

Interpon Powder Coatings (Korea) Co is a 50/50 joint venture between the two parties that was established in 1985. They are manufacturers and marketers of powder products based in Asnan-City near Seoul.

The move reinforces Akzo Nobel’s status as leader in powder coatings and their commitment to the Korean paint market.
