SEMI, the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute have published 25 new technical standards pertaining to the semiconductor and flat panel displays industries. The standards were developed by a panel of experts from equipment suppliers, device manufacturers and other companies participating in the SEMI International Standards Program.
SEMI publish standards three times a year, and the latest batch take the number published to over 670 over the last 30 years.
The standards cover aspects such as defining the area of an LCD mask, formats for data management in the semiconductor exposure process and specifications for polished monocrystalline silicon carbide wafers.
The new standards are available for download from the SEMI website or can be purchased on CD-ROM.
