Polymer Analysis - From Raw Materials to Formulated Products

Polymer Analysis - From Raw Materials to Formulated Products

Webinar Overview

This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview including practical examples for state-of-the-art polymer analysis in modern laboratory environments.

Full value-chain coverage for the polymer industry will be demonstrated from building blocks for raw materials towards functional and formulated products. The analytical technology of magnetic resonance is applicable from product development throughout production to quality control by dedicated solution offerings on various instrument platforms. Exchangeable results in globally distributed laboratory topologies foster harmonized methods and as such, lead to deeper and more consistent insights.

Dr. Clemens Anklin

Vice President of NMR Applications and Training - Bruker BioSpin - Billerica, Massachusetts

In 1984 Clemens Anklin obtained a PhD in chemistry from the Swiss Institute of Technology ETH. In 1984 he joined Spectrospin (later Bruker) as a NMR applications scientist and in 1988 transferred to the United States to build an applications team in the US. He now serves as Vice President for NMR applications and training for the Americas.

Dr. Kalina Ranguelova

Senior EPR Applications Scientist, Bruker BioSpin

Dr. Kalina Ranguelova is an EPR Applications Scientist in Bruker BioSpin Corporation since 2011. She completed her Ph.D. at The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences where she received a Ph.D. with research focused on inorganic copper complexes structure using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. After two research positions at CUNY and National Institute for Environmental Sciences where she studied free radical biology and EPR spin trapping as method for measurement of reactive oxygen species (ROS), she joined Bruker and holds a role as Applications Scientist. Her current focus is detection and identification of free radicals in biological systems and pharmaceuticals using spin traps and spin probes. She has publications in journals like Journal of Biological Chemistry, Biochemistry, Free radical Biology and Medicine, etc. She has presented in many international meetings related to free radical research in biology and protein chemistry.

Dr. Brendan Lichtenthal

Started his scientific training at Union College, earning a B.S. in chemistry. He continued his training at Stony Brook University where he earned a Master’s in chemistry. Much of his work focused on small molecule organic synthesis and the accompanying structural NMR that goes along with it. His areas of study included substituted b lactams, taxoids, and antibacterials. He currently offers customer support for TD-NMR and some EPR applications.
