Introduction

Pure copper has good electrical and thermal conductivity. More than 400 varieties of copper alloys are available. Alloys can be freely formed by copper than most metals.

Welding

UNS C91700 copper alloy can be welded using brazing, soldering, carbon arc welding, coated metal arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, and gas shielded arc welding methods.

Heat Treatment

UNS C91700 copper alloy can be stress relieved at 260°C (500°F). The time taken for stress relieving is about 1hr/ in. of section thickness. It does not respond to heat treatment.
