Introduction
Carbon is the major alloying element present in the carbon steels. These steels contain aluminium, chromium, copper, nickel, and molybdenum in small quantities. They also contain 0.4% of silicon and 1.2% of manganese.
The following datasheet gives an overview of AISI 1212 carbon steel.
