Silver Doped Tin Oxide Nanoparticles Available from Nanophase

Nanophase Technologies Corp have announced the pilot availability of silver doped nanocrystalline tin oxide. Particles are approximately 30nm in diameter and contain 3wt% silver.

The silver doped tin oxide material is suited to industrial antimicrobial applications such as wood preservation, marine antifouling, specialty paints and coatings, plastic and rubber additives, conductive coatings and electronic materials. The antimicrobial applications include both industrial and personal care.

The nanoparticles themselves are non-porous, dense, discrete homogeneous particles.
