Malvern to Showcase an Impressive Line Up of Particle Characterization Equipment at Analytica 2008

An impressive line-up on the Malvern Instruments stand at Analytica 2008 includes the latest additions to the company’s portfolio of products for materials characterization.

Malvern Instruments stand at Analytica 2008 includes the latest additions to the company’s portfolio of products for materials characterization.

The recently introduced Morphologi G3 automated particle characterization system makes its Analytica debut. This powerful analytical tool delivers high quality, statistically significant particle size and shape information, together with microscope quality images, through the rapid analysis of hundreds of thousands of particles. As with any analytical procedure, good sample preparation is critical and a major development in the Morphologi G3 is the novel fully integrated dry powder dispersion system, which ensures highly reproducible dispersion with consistent and controlled particle orientation.

Alongside will be the Zetasizer Nano particle and molecular characterization system whose new chromatography flowmode option allows its use as an in-line chromatography detector for protein applications.

With the link between particle characteristics and rheological properties now of increasing importance in many research, product development and manufacturing environments, Malvern’s expertise ensures knowledgeable technical and applications support as well as a growing product offering across all these areas. Instruments from Malvern’s range of rheometers and viscometers will be on show.

The versatility of Malvern’s Mastersizer 2000 laser diffraction particle size analyzer, also on display, continues to ensure its industry-leading position. Easy-to-use and highly reproducible, the Mastersizer 2000 is the preferred option across a wide range of industries for measuring wet and dry samples in the size range from 0.02 – 2000 microns.

Visitors to the stand will can also view interactive displays illustrating the operation and applications of Malvern’s SyNIRgi chemical imaging, and Spraytec particle size analysis systems.
