Valtimet to Close Oklahoma Stainless Steel Plant

As part of their consolidation, Valtimet, a subsidiary of the Voullourec Group will close their stainless steel plant in Oklahoma.

The stainless steel plant will complete all outstanding orders before production is curtailed in May and the plant totally closed before the end of June 2004.

Much of the capabilities form the Oklahoma plant will be transferred to Valtimet’s plant in Tennessee. The closure will also result in the loss of 60 jobs.
