Century Aluminum Announces Productive Meetings with United Steelworkers

Century Aluminum of Kentucky, a wholly owned subsidiary of Century Aluminum Company (NASDAQ: CENX), and the United Steelworkers union announced today that the parties have had productive meetings this past week and the negotiations will resume in the near future.

Union members remain on the job and the Hawesville plant is operating normally.

Century Aluminum Company owns primary aluminum capacity in the United States and Iceland. Century's corporate offices are located in Monterey, California.
