China BAK Battery Signs Supply Agreement with Sanke Electricals

China BAK Battery, Inc. ("China BAK", the "Company", or "we") (Nasdaq: CBAK), a leading global manufacturer of lithium-based battery cells, today announced that the Company entered into a supply agreement to supply the Company's lithium phosphate energy storage solution – Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to China Sanke Electrical Co., Ltd ("Sanke"), a leading China-based manufacturer of commercial and industrial UPSs, Stabilizers and Inverters.

Under terms of the supply agreement, China BAK will supply 10,000 units of UPS to Sanke by the end of this year. UPS is a compact and portable solution powered by China BAK's high-power lithium cells and offers an attractive alternative to more traditional, heavy lead-acid battery and plug-in powered models.

"Our supply agreement with Sanke reflects the growing acceptance of our lithium phosphate energy storage solutions, which offer better reliability, flexibility and immediate delivery. The most common type of battery used in UPS is sealed lead-acid, however, our lithium batteries are small, lightweight and more friendly to the environment," commented Mr. Xiangqian Li, CEO of China BAK. "We continue to work with our customers from initial introduction to final adoption and educate them on the benefits of our technology over traditional lead acid batteries. Our team is actively engaged in developing and delivering new, innovative and reliable energy storage solutions for our customers."
