Global manufacturer and marketer of energy-efficient products for building insulation, as well as specialty engineered materials, Johns Manville will address the growing demand for Microfiber by adding capacity. To achieve this, the company plans to restart the previously closed capacity in Ohio.
The additional capacity will be located outside JM’s Waterville, Ohio-based plant. The new assets of the facility will boost few products supply by 35%. Absorptive glass mat battery separators and high efficiency air filtration are key markets for Microfiber.
The company makes investment in the additional capacity to serve customers’ requirements. One of the JM’s executives, J.P. Blanchard quotes that the company has been serving the customer needs for more than 150 years. Bob Wamboldt, VP of Engineered Products North America, said that Johns Manville owns considerable resources to expand the Microfiber business. He also said that it was the right time for investing in additional capacity, thereby meeting market demand and customer needs. The company is committed to support global operations of their customers and to grow along with them.
