PinAcle Stainless Steel, an Edmonton-based supplier of stainless steel, specialty alloy steel pipe, duplex, tube, valves, flanges and fittings, declared that it is supplying corrosion-resistant stainless steel piping products for Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL) carbon capture and storage project.
Since 2007, PinAcle Stainless Steel has been providing products and services to the ACTL project, which include budgetary guidance and technical know-how of line dimensions, wall thicknesses and alloys. PinAcle's experience in stocking and supplying stainless steel, valves, flanges, fittings, tubes, specialty alloy pipe will offer the locally manufactured product and cost- effective supply strategies for the ACTL project.
The ACTL project is the first commercial scale carbon capture and storage project in the Alberta region. It will offer numerous economical and environmental benefits to the region. Scott Ion, who serves as PinAcle Stainless Steel’s Director of Projects, stated that the company has vast experience in the enhanced oil recovery and CO2 capture field. The company is happy about the efforts taken by the Alberta Government to encourage enhanced oil recovery projects, decrease CO2 emissions and accelerate the local economy, he said.
Blair Eddy, Enhance Energy’s Vice President Operations, commented that the company is looking forward to its partnership with PinAcle Stainless Steel, a Canadian-owned distributor with wide experience in the production and supply of stainless steel. PinAcle’s experience and knowledge will offer economic advantages to the whole ACTL project, he added.
