Cytec To Exhibit At COMPOTEC/SEATEC 2013

Cytec will be exhibiting on Stand 852 (Aisle 28 in Pavilion D) at COMPOTEC/SEATEC 2013, which is being held at the CarraraFiere Exhibition Centre, Marina di Carrara, Italy, from the 6 to 8 February 2013.

Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) is a global provider of advanced materials, process materials and specialty chemical products for aerospace, automotive, wind energy, and extreme-demand applications. Our focus on advanced technology and application expertise allows our customers to adopt more efficient manufacturing approaches. Our product portfolio offer engineers greater design flexibility over traditional materials.

Cytec manufactures and supplies high-performance prepregs, resin systems, adhesives and other products into industrial applications, such as serial automotive, motorsports, defence, and others. We also manufacture and supply process materials such as vacuum bagging consumables, reusable vacuum systems and kitting solutions into the industries served by Aerospace Materials and Industrial Materials.

To demonstrate our expertise in process consumables, we will be displaying a selection of vacuum bagging consumables, infusion materials and reusable vacuum systems, all of which demonstrate that we provide a comprehensive service to the composites industry by offering complementary products for all aspects of the composites manufacturing process. As pioneers in technology transfer in resin infusion processing techniques, we can support any project from start to finish, and offer innovative products such as VMS2 and Infuply, both of which can offer improvements in methodology and final laminate quality.

  • VMS2 is a revolutionary vacuum medium strip which enables vacuum flow on top of wet impregnated zones throughout the entire curing process. Working at temperatures up to 160°C (320°F), it is ideal for thick part component production where resin flow/distribution networks are complex.
  • Infuply is a perforated release film combined with knitted infusion mesh which aids resin transfer and strips easily from the laminate. Working at temperatures up to 120°C (248°F), it is ideal for manufacture of large component parts and delivers significant labour savings.

To demonstrate our expertise in prepreg manufacture and innovation in this arena, we will be displaying a selection of structural parts manufactured by some of our prominent clients, all of which demonstrate that we provide a comprehensive service to the composites industry by offering structural, aesthetic and tooling prepregs and associated ancillaries. Accredited to TS16949 and ISO 9001/AS9100, we are equipped to offer time and cost-saving prepreg solutions for manufacturing components and structures suitable for serial automotive production.

Our representatives will be available to discuss all of the above exhibits, as well as your immediate and future requirements.
