GE Specialty Materials Complete Acquisition of Advanced Ceramics Businesses

GE Specialty Materials, a division of General Electric have completed their acquisition of Advanced Ceramics Corp. and Advanced Ceramics International Corp, the largest supplier of boron nitride in the world. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Advanced Ceramics businesses based in Cleveland, Ohio, will be integrated into the GE Quartz business, within the GE Specialty Materials division. The new business will become known as GE Advanced Ceramics.

Advanced Ceramics have headquarters and manufacturing in Ohio, USA, as well as more manufacturing capabilities in Cardiff, Wales and Kozuki, Japan. They also have a global workforce of 270 persons.
