NLMK Steel Bring Iron Ore Concentrator Online

A new concentrator facility was put into operation at Stoilensky GOK, a subsidiary of NLMK, which supplies substantially all of the Company’s iron ore concentrate. The construction began in May this year and was finished as scheduled. The total investment is 492 million rubles (USD17 million), which agrees with the plans announced earlier. The implementation of this project provides a possibility for an increase in the annual production volume of iron ore concentrate by Stoilensky GOK of around 800,000 t/y (8%) compared to 2004 numbers.
