Bayer AG and Degussa AG have signed an agreement that will see them combine their logistics and transportation requirements. The agreement called ComLog, short for Common Logistics Procurement will pool the procurement volume and knowledge as well as well transportation needs.
By bundling these services they will combine expertise and optimise their service. They expect that this will result in improvements in the quality of service, reduce traffic and consequently reduce the impact on the environment. Cost savings to both are also expected to follow.
Both companies will contribute equal numbers of staff to the project to ensure common goals are reached.
