Alcan Completes VAW Acquisition

Alcan has now completed the acquisition of VAW Flexible Packaging from Norsk Hydro for approximately 345 million Euro.

The acquisition strengthens Alcan’s position in the packaging market and provides them with more packaging solutions in the rapidly growing flexibles market.

VAW adds another 14 plants in 8 countries to Alcan’s packaging portfolio, bring their total to 90 plants. The most recent acquisitions also adds significantly to Alcan’s Asian coverage.
