Teijin Complete Complete PET Bottle Recycling Plant

Teijin have completed construction of a plant that will have facility to be able to produce recycled polyethylene terephthalate, PET, plastic bottles.

The plant located in the Yamaguchi Prefecture represents a 10 billion Yen investment. It will be capable of producing 50,000 tonnes of bottle materials per year from 62,000 tonnes of used bottles.

This is claimed to be the first full recycle system created for PET bottles.
