Introduction
Copper and its alloys exhibit excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. The nature and amount of the alloyed metals determine the application of copper alloys. To enhance the ultimate yield strength of copper alloys they are subjected to heat treatment methods.
Copper C66100 alloy exhibits good strength and resistance to atmospheric, sea water, acids and organic chemicals. It is composed of copper, silicon, manganese and lead. It is available in the form of nuts, bolts, rods, screws and bars. A notable feature of this alloy is that it is free-cutting and suitable for use in high speed screw machines.
This datasheet will elaborate on the chemical composition, properties and applications of copper UNS C66100 alloy.
