Manipulation of Liquid Crystals Helps Develop New Materials

A team of international scientists led by Juan J. de Pablo, a Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has discovered that the manipulation of liquid crystals at the nanoscale can make the molecules they interact to self-assemble, thus paving the way to develop innovative materials with novel properties.

DuPont Opens Ballistics Facility at DuPont Knowledge Center in Hyderabad, India

DuPont recently opened its latest ballistics testing facility at the DuPont Knowledge Center in Hyderabad, India. The state-of-the-art facility houses a ballistic testing range, a 600-ton helmet press and stab testing equipment. It is the fifth DuPont site for testing protection materials in ballistic applications.
