AMR to Supply Samsung with CRT Phosphors

AMR Technologies have just signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to supply Samsung SDI with coloured phosphors for cathode ray tube (CRT) displays.

The agreement will see AMR supply Samsung with more than US$7 million of phosphors per year from 2005. Initially this will comprise red, blue and green phosphors.

The phosphors will be used in devices such as televisions and computer monitors and displays. The phosphors will come from AMR’s plant in Jiangyin, China that is scheduled for commissioning in 2005.
