Slater Steel Complete Sale of Sorel Forge

Slater Steel have completed their recently announced sale of substantially all of the assets of Sorel Forge to a subsidiary of A Finkl & Sons for approximately $41 million.

Sorel Forge, located in Quebec, Canada is the largest integrated open-die forging plant in the country. They produce mould, tool and die steels, custom forgings and forged steel. They are also capable of producing mould blocks weighing up to 55,000 pounds.

A Finkl & Sons are a specialty steel company based in Chicago that process about 100,000 tons of steel per year and own over 100 patents.
