Bluescope Steel Receive Antitrust Approval in their Bid to Acquire Butler Manufacturing

Australian-based Bluescope Steel, formerly BHP Steel have received antitrust clearance from the Federal Trade Commission for their recently reported proposal to acquire Butler Manufacturing, a world leader in the manufacture of pre-engineered building systems.

The acquisition of the US-based firm will cost Bluescope $204 million and they will assume a net debt of $60 million.
