IMCO Recycling to Increase Aluminium Output by 50%

IMCO Recycling have announced that they will increase the capacity of their Saginaw plant in Michigan by 50% so that they can significantly increase the amount of aluminium they are supplying to General Motors.

General Motors will utilise the extra aluminium in their Saginaw castings plant to produce their Generation IV all aluminium V8 engines that will be used in sports utility vehicles or SUV’s.

IMCO will supply the aluminium to General Motors in molten form using specialised trucks. This reduces General Motor’s energy and capital expenses and melt losses, as well as increasing their productivity.
