BASF Transfers Ownership of Australian Compounding Plant

As of June 1st, BASF’s Australian compounding plant will come under the ownership of Engineering Polymers. Engineering Polymers is a new company owned by four directors of Marplex, the distributor for BASF in Australia and New Zealand.

Engineering Polymers will only be involved with manufacturing, with BASF and Marplex distributing product.

This agreement is consistent with BASF’s global strategy of manufacturing only high volume products, and licensing out the manufacture low volume products for local markets.
