Wacker Appoint New Distributor for HDK Pyrogenic Silica

WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, has reorganized its distribution structure for pyrogenic silica (trademark: HDK) in Germany. Effective September 1, 2009, Mülheim/Ruhr (Germany) based Brenntag GmbH will take over the distribution business of former distribution partner Staub & Co. Chemiehandels-gesellschaft mbH, Nürnberg.

In Germany, Brenntag GmbH Specialty Chemicals will distribute HDK for use in applications such as life science, adhesives, chemical industry, construction, composites, elastomers and lubricants, whereas distribution of HDK for use in paint & ink applications remains with Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH, Hamburg.
