Arkema to Show Latest Carbon Nanotube Masterbatches at Nano tech 2010 in Tokyo

Arkema, a world leader in multiwall carbon nanotubes and nanostructured polymers, is taking part in the Tokyo Nano tech 2010 tradeshow from February 17 to 19.

The Company will exhibit the latest masterbatches in its Graphistrength carbon nanotube range:

  • The first « universal » masterbatch grade for thermoplastics,
  • New grades for elastomers,
  • Two solid concentrates, one for liquid epoxy and the other for water-soluble solutions.

In addition to their ease of application, Arkema's masterbatches specifically feature outstanding dispersability within matrices, thereby allowing excellent end-performances, in particular very good electrical conductivity for the materials.

Arkema will also present its unique product range for the acrylic block copolymer market, marketed under the tradename Nanostrength. Nanostrength can be incorporated as an additive into thermoplastic or thermoset matrices to modify the structuring of materials on a nanometer scale in order to produce unique properties based on the polymer, e.g. superior mechanical strength, hydrophily, and transparency.
