The Dow Corning AIM Coatings Industry recently exhibited a booth at the 2010 American Coatings Show (ACS) in Charlotte, North Carolina from April 13-15. The visit marked the second time Dow Corning has been in attendance at the conference.
The show housed a total of 328 exhibitors with approximately 6,700 participants from 17 countries; a 19.6 percent increase in participation from the 2008 ACS.
“The biggest take away is that we’ve really increased our brand presence over previous years, and were able to launch our new coatings splash logo to our key audience as well as our new additives kit, which was prominently displayed in our booth as well as in the booths of our key distribution partners Ashland and Univar,” said Jim Stange, North America coatings marketing manager. “We had 230 leads and were able to engage customers in several new business development opportunities.”
At the 2008 ACS, Dow Corning was housed in a 10’x10’ booth, compared to an upgraded 20’ x 30’ booth at the 2010 ACS. With six times more square footage than previous years, the Dow Corning team was able to communicate with many customers, gaining 98 more leads.
“The launch of the new additive kit and two presentations highlighting DC additives in waterborne coatings showed our commitment to the coatings industry and environmentally sustainable coatings,” said Mustafa Mohamed, AETS representative.
