Mercator Transport Group Corporation ("Mercator Transport") (TSX VENTURE: GMT), is proud to announce the renewal of the agreement with EP Minerals, an EP Management Corporation subsidiary (previously known as Eagle Picher Corporation), as exclusive supplier of EP Minerals diatomaceous earth in Canada.
The American EP Minerals is one of the most important producers of diatomaceous earth in the world. Diatomaceous earth is an absorbent notably used in automotive and industrial sectors for the absorption of oil spills and other oil products. Through its distribution division, Mercator Transport distributes this industrial product through a network of more than 2000 points of sale across Canada.
The initial agreement with EP Minerals, which came into force as of January 1, 2008, had a term of five years. The initial agreement has now been renewed until December 31, 2015, adding two years to the initial term. The main terms and conditions of the agreement remain unchanged.
