Advanced Polymer Trading to Distribute Mitsui’s Thermoplastic Olefinic Elastomer

Advanced Polymer Trading FZC, global supplier of petrochemicals, plastics and rubber products, has inked a deal with Mitsui Chemicals Europe, a division of Mitsui Chemicals Group, to distribute Mitsui’s Milastomer brand thermoplastic olefinic elastomer.

With this deal, Advanced Polymer Trading is expanding its footprint in the African, Middle East and European markets where Mitsui Chemicals Group has its customer base. Mitsui Chemicals Group is headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Mitsui used its expertise in synthetic rubber and plastics to develop Milastomer, which is specifically made for applications in the automotive industry, including interior trims such as headliners, doors and dashboards. Vulcanization or compounding is not required for Milastomer and its every grade can be extruded or molded like polypropylene and polyethylene. Milastomer exhibits better moldability like PVC during calendering machine processing.

The Managing Director of Advanced Polymer Trading, Hamid Amiri, commented that Milastomer is a top class thermoplastic olefinic elastomer. The new deal would strengthen the current relationship with Mitsui.
