Cambrios Technologies has signed a contract with Japan-based Toray Advanced Film to supply Cambrios ClearOhm materials that are used for coating. Toray Advanced Film will use ClearOhm coating materials to generate a range of transparent conductive PET films.
The transparent conductive films are a valuable constituent element of touch screens, along with a protruded capacitive type utilized in tablet computers and smart phones.
Toray Advanced Film, which has formed a strategic investment in Cambrios, will leverage its coating expertise and film utilizing ClearOhm conductive inks to generate transparent conductive films that will have the best color, most pliability and maximal transparency compared to other conductive films. Transparent conductive PET films will take the place of ITO-coated transparent conductive films in touch sensors for a broad range of electronic devices. Cambrios ClearOhm material presents simpler patterning, inexpensive deposition options and, due to its flexibility can boost yield versus ITO.
