3M Canada has launched a new floor maintenance system that provides durable and shiny floors.
The Scotchgard Hard Floor Protection System eliminates the floor-stripping process of acrylic floor finishes and decreases dangerous chemical usage. The Scotchgard is suitable for moderate and high traffic areas in educational, commercial and medical facilities. It decreases both labor and hard floor maintenance expenses by up to 45% in the initial year and up to 60% in the consecutive year.
The system offers several other benefits. It provides a novel maintenance solution for all types of floors, including Terrazzo, marble, polished concrete, asphalt tile, linoleum, rubber, vinyl, and other porous natural stone surfaces. It is also suitable for any traffic pattern and soil level.
Only two coats of the Scotchgard are required to produce glossy and clean floors. The system offers a clean and safe environment without the use of chemicals and it resists scratches, stains, black marks and scuffs. It has excellent abrasion-resistant, which is six times more than acrylic floor finishes.
The reapplication of the Scotchgard floor protection system is easy and it minimizes downtime by drying in 10 to 30 minutes. It requires burnishing once or twice in a month, while with traditional acrylic finishes the process needs to be done multiple times in a week. The Scotchgard floor maintenance system complies with LEED credits and prerequisites.
