In August 2011, Fuwei Films (Shandong), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fuwei Films (Holdings) and a developer, manufacturer and distributor of high-quality plastic films, has secured three utility patents for anti-flaming matte film used in architectural applications, automotive window PET base film and anti-condensation automotive window film. The Ministry of State Intellectual Property Office of PRC has awarded the patents to the company.
The patented anti-flaming matte film is ideal for architectural heat insulation. It provides excellent heat insulation property and high strength. The film also offers better anti-flaming characteristic than the existing PET films.
The oligomer-proof window PET base film for automotive application provides excellent optical attributes. It eliminates oligomer formation in the production and usage process. This automotive window film does not provide a dull appearance when it is exposed to sunlight. The patented anti-condensation automotive window film from Fuwei Films provides high gloss, superior transmittance property and high transparency. It overcomes the limitation of the existing PET films that have poor visibility via glass due to condensation, resulting from a major difference between temperatures prevailing interior and exterior of the vehicle.
