Smorgon Steel Announces First Major Sale of Revolutionary LiteSteel Beam

Smorgon Steel today announced its first major sale of the revolutionary LiteSteel beam (LSB™).

Brisbane-based Steel Framing Systems will supply steel trusses and frames utilising LSB to AVJennings for use in the construction of more than 90 new architecturally designed homes planned for its "Stellar at Carina" development in Brisbane. The development is currently underway and the first stage is expected to be completed within 12 months.

"We did not begin marketing the LiteSteel beam until just over a month ago," said Mark Vassella, Chief Executive, Smorgon Steel Distribution, "and we are delighted by the early acceptance of the product by Steel Framing Systems and AVJennings".
