Moldflow Corporation has announced that Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. has selected Moldflow Plastics Insight® (MPI®) as the global company standard for the analysis and optimization of injection molded plastic parts. Implementation of MPI, used for in-depth plastics filling, cooling and warpage analysis will begin in the Lippstadt and Paderborn development centers. Hella also chose MPI/Fusion, which uses Moldflow’s patented Dual Domain™ technology for analyzing 3D solid CAD models directly, and MPI/3D for performing true 3D analyses. Hella is one of Germany’s largest Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
