Trelleborg Group has announced that a new manufacturing plant has been opened in Xingtai, China in order to produce high-performance specialty tires, mainly for use in agricultural industry.
Part of the company’s long-term strategy, this new investment will expand its presence in the markets. Both bias and radial technology tires are produced at the facility with the help of cutting edge manufacturing methods. These tires are used in agro-industrial, farming and forestry applications. The company will serve its partners by supplying these tires to their Chinese plants.
According to the CEO and President of Trelleborg, Peter Nilsson, the company believes that China has extremely favorable growth options and this new facility will strengthen the company’s platform established worldwide. China’s agricultural sector will continue to experience the company’s commitment through the new production plant. This new facility will reinforce the company’s competitiveness in other markets, in addition to the Chinese market, through efficient manufacturing.
Maurizio Vischi, Trelleborg Wheel Systems’ Business Area President, stated that the company has developed into a primary producer of agricultural tires across the globe. The new plant supports the Chinese customers, as well as the US and European clients in the local Chinese market.
Trelleborg has a number of manufacturing plants in Huizhou, Wuxi, Xingtai, Shanghai and Qingdao of China. An extensive range of engineered products and polymer technology based solutions have been produced by the company at its facilities.
