Buehler announces their new SimpliMet XPS1 Automatic Compression Mounting System.
The SimpliMet XPS1 is an electrohydraulic automatic compression mounting system that brings fast cycle times and intelligent cooling to the specimen mounting process.
This efficiency is delivered by optimizing the heating and cooling steps in the mounting process, minimizing operator involvement while reducing time and energy and water usage. The optional chamfered lower ram automatically bevels the specimen edge saving time when preparing for the grinding and polishing process.
Additional functions for specific applications are directly accessible on the user interface simplifying programming to a few button pushes. Make high quality, clear thermoplastic mounts by simply pressing the thermoplastic button on the front panel. Pre-set parameters are displayed for use or modification.
The SimpliMet XPS1 is available with a variety of mold sizes suitable for all mounting applications. The molds are available in 1in, 1.25in, 1.5in, 2in, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm diameters. The mounting system can be purchased complete with the desired mold. Additional mold diameters and chamfered lower rams can be purchased separately.
