CIMtech and US Cutter Sign on as Platinum Sponsors at 3D Printer World Expo Seattle at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Wash., on Aug. 22-23.
3D Printer World Expo announced today that two leading technology players in Seattle – CIMtech and US Cutter – have signed on as platinum event sponsors and will demo leading 3D printing technology to the Seattle business community on the Expo’s exhibit floor Aug. 22-23.
CIMtech has a 25-year history supplying the Pacific Northwest with technologies such as Stratasys 3D printers, portable 3D laser scanners, Formech thermoforming machines and Mastercam CNC software. At the 3D Printer World Expo, the company will be demonstrating Stratasys fused deposition modeling (FDM) and PolyJet 3D printers, and exhibiting unique printed part examples from both technologies including concept models, functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures, and end-use parts.
US Cutter is one of two U.S. distributors for Leapfrog, a 3D printer manufacturer based in The Netherlands, and will have a 20’ x 20’ island on the exhibit floor to display 3D printers from Leapfrog as well as other products. Since 2005, the company has been a provider of equipment and supplies to the custom graphics, apparel and cuttable film markets. About a year ago, after deploying 3D printers in-house to print internal gears for digital printers, belt clamps for old cutters and other parts, the company’s management team determined the technology could help their customers and set out to become a 3D printer dealer. After eight months of testing products, they recently signed a distribution deal with Leapfrog, and other deals are in the works.
