TRB Lightweight Structures Selected as a Supplier for Elekta

TRB Lightweight Structures is delighted to announce it has been selected by Elekta as one of its top twenty suppliers. The company will manufacture a lightweight flooring solution which will be used in the rooms, or bunkers, that accommodate Elekta’s Unity MR-linac. The specialty flooring can withstand excessive weight distribution and is hinged to allow access to different parts of the machine.

Elekta’s latest innovation, Elekta Unity, is the world’s first high-field MR-linac and has the potential to transform how clinicians treat cancer.

We are absolutely delighted to be working with such an innovative and forward-thinking company and are proud that Elekta identified our lightweight composite products as a real asset to the manufacturing of its products. We have previously worked with the company as a supplier for their Gamma Knife® radiosurgery system, and to now be selected as a supplier for their Unity MR-linac is excellent. TRB recently attended a supplier day at Elekta’s new UK headquarters in Crawley; it is a most impressive and futuristic building, and the company is clearly investing heavily in its future. We are very proud to be supporting Elekta on this journey.
