BASF Launch High Speed Coatings Plant

BASF have launched their new 5 million Euro modernised centre for pressure sensitive adhesives in Ludwigshafen, Germany. The plant contains two new high speed pilot plants:

  • The first is a coating plant for aqueous pressure sensitive adhesives, with a maximum speed of 1500 metres per minute, the fastest plant of its type in the world
  • The second is a UV hot melt adhesive plant capable of running up to 700 metres per minute

The new plant gives them increased flexibility and efficiency when designing joints for customers.
