Stimir Wins Contract to Refurbish Anode Butt Shot-Blaster at Nordural Aluminium Plant

Stimir of Iceland has been awarded a contract to fully refurbish the anode butt shot-blaster in Nordural’s rodding plant.

The contract requires a complete overhaul of the two-wheel machine, and includes:

  • changes to the shot feed system
  • better separation of waste and recycled steel shot
  • improvements to doors and the enclosure to reduce loss of shot
  • rebuild the electrical system
  • new code for the PLC system
