ABB Commission Stainless APL in Record Time

ABB supplied, engineered and commissioned a complete annealing and pickling line for the Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Company in China.

The remarkable part about it was that they were able to supply and commission the steel processing line in 45 days, way below the industry standard of 3-5 months. This is the fastest time to achieve startup for any steel project in the world.

The latest annealing and pickling line is the second stage of development for the Ningbo plant. ABB supplied and commissioned a similar unit in 1997.
