SolVin to Recognise Innovations in PVC Through New Competition with Cash Prizes

At the occasion of the international plastics trade fair K2007, which will take place next October in Düsseldorf, SolVin organizes the third edition of its European competition “The SolVin Awards for PVC Innovation”.

Candidates may be plastic converters, additive suppliers, machines producers, end-users, prescriptors, service providers, media related activities, academic institutions, designers, students, etc.

The innovations must comply with the following criteria:

  • to have a link with PVC
  • to contribute to the positive image of PVC
  • to bring improvement to existing products
  • to lead to an application that exists or could be developed on the European market
  • to be under development or available on the market from 1st January 2005

An independent jury will choose five winners among all of the projects submitted. SolVin will reward the three most innovative projects by a Gold SolVin Award of 50.000 EUR, a Silver SolVin Award of 25.000 EUR, a Bronze SolVin Award of 10.000 EUR and will also award two special prices of 7.500 EUR in the category of Recycling and Design.

The application forms should be completed in English and sent back between 1st February 2007 and 30th April 2007.
