Opta Minerals Receives $8.4m Order for Steel Desulfurization Products

Opta Minerals Inc., today announced that it has received a 2 year order with a global integrated steel manufacturer to supply desulfurization products. Revenues from this order are expected to exceed $8,400,000 U.S. dollars over the term of the agreement.

This new account will be serviced from the Company’s Indiana facility. Opta Minerals now has three facilities focused on the production of magnesium based reagents and slag conditioners. The facilities are located in Indiana, Ontario and Michigan and provide reassurance to our customers that Opta Minerals will always have a sufficient supply of magnesium based reagent materials & slag conditioners.
