Can you tell us a bit about the company and why you're at SEMICON West 2018?
We're APS Materials, from Dayton, Ohio, and we do thermal spray coatings. We do ceramics, metals, carbides, anything on a substrate to protect against corrosion or dielectric.
What products have you got on show this year?
We have aluminum oxide, a cobalt chrome oxide, titanium dioxide, a various assortment of ceramics that were given spray.
What are the benefits of these products? What sets them apart from others on the market?
It depends on what the application is, but we are either protecting against dielectric standoffs or voltage breakdown, or we're doing corrosion resistance in the edge field or material retention, loose particles inside the process chamber that need somewhere to attach to, or we do wear coatings for sliding or physical interaction applications.
What applications are your products most suited to?
Right here at this show we're looking for wafer edge processes, any kind of equipment that goes inside of the process chamber that comes into contact with edge gasses that would normally destroy the component. That's what we're interested in coating.
