PCB carriers are generally designed either as fixed or adjustable arrangements from both conductive and non-conductive plastic and designed so as to handle different sizes of PCB’s. The carriers are mostly designed based on gerber formats or other file formats as specified by the customer. Gerber format may be termed as a family of file formats which is used by the PCB software to clearly describe the images of a PCB such as solder mask, legend, copper layers etc. This is the de-facto industry standard for PCB image transfer.
