Advantages

High oxygen index (34%) compared with nonflame retarded modified grades of Alkyd. Good heat distortion temperature, mould shrinkage and elongation at break compared with other modified grades of Alkyd.

Disadvantages

Low tensile strength and flexural modulus compared with other modified grades of Alkyd.
