Advantages

Components with high rigidity to weight ratios possible. Thick sections are not prone to sink marks. Good flammability characteristics compared with unmodified PPO.

Disadvantages

Surface swirl patterns produced so if high quality finish is required painting is necessary. Reduced tensile strength, flexural modulus, and elongation at break, notched izod impact strength and heat distortion temperature compared with unmodified PPO.

Applications
